The Fair!

What an 'Amazing Fair!' we had on 23rd of November.

There were hundreds of people all over the school enjoying the stalls and Haunted Houses and etc. Some people were lucky to win prizes, and every one having a great time.

Athletics Day

MJ shared his special cricket gears and an news about his popa who is nominated senior Australian of the year. We wish him good luck! CM shared her gymnastic skills and taught us several poses. Some of us learnt well with good coaching.

BH shared his special sword which he got it from Armageddon. It was a wooden sword and it kept with Mrs. Giovanni. We also talked about what are the appropriate things we bring to school. Thanks BH for sharing the special toy wooden sword. NA shared her special story about how some animals looked after at her home and to be aware of nature. NA's family is a great role model how us Kiwi looks after nature.Thanks:) Well done for preparing a fantastic speech both of you!

Our fantastic Assembly

Last week we had our assembly with our buddy class room 21. We shared how much we enjoyed our buddy activities with them with photos and also the big book, 'The Great Race' It was a massive production which took us several weeks to complete. Thank goodness we manage to finish it just in time for the assembly. I hope you enjoyed our assembly. If you missed out here are some photo from the day!

FR showed his selection of Angry Bird toys.We had 'Toss and hit the pig' session. Thank you FR for sharing the fun game. PS talked about Old McDonald farm. Unfortunately she could not show photos, but it sounded like a place where you could have lots of fun.!

Transport Day

Our fast and furious!

We had our Cross country on Thursday 14th of September. The weather was perfect! We all did our best and had a great time! Among us there were two fast and furious runners; 'LE and BH'. LE came second overall in year 1 girls and BH came third overall in year 1 boys. Well done both!

MJ shared his special whale facts in this week's speech.He talked about how big the killer whale, hammerhead, great white shark and whale shark could be, and many other facts. He showed us some great pictures of those animals. Your speech was awesome and we loved it!

KF shared her special photos from kindergarten days. She talked about how she loved her teachers and how she spent times there. FR shared his trash pack collection with us. He has trash pack garbage truck, trash can and many trashies. DH shared his soccer team shirt and shorts. He is very proud to be in the team and enjoying playing soccer!

Snap shot of the lunchtime play!

I will be posting some of the playtime photos. We love playing in the sandpit and building sandcastle and tunnels. When the sun is up we love to run around the field and play soccer or rugby. It will be our Cross country day on this Friday from 1:45 pm. We hope many parents are able to come and cheer us. Hope to see you all there!

Special Speaker Mr. and Mrs. McKeen

Last Friday we had special speakers Mr. and Mrs. McKeen in the hall. He came to talk to us about our Inquiry topic 'Transportation' . He was wearing the Air New Zealand pilot uniform, and he showed us how his work and the planes he controlled over the years. He also showed us the timeline of the flying objects that were very educational. The size of airplane engine was so big like a giant foot (MB)! We are very fortunate to have such knowledgeable speakers to come and talk to us! We are very lucky!

CM shared with us her special speech about the visit to the Waikato river dam.She talked about how the electricity was generated by turbine power.We had a good learning session, thanks you! Maia:)

EM shared a special helicopter picture which her father was working in it in Wellington. She is very proud of her father. AL showed us his father's ultimate army collection set! which he is allowed to play at home! Very lucky!

UN shared his report on Spinosaurus and T-Rex facts. He told us that T-Rex had bigger and sharper teeth than Spinosaurus!

PS shared her special photos from the family trip to Mt. Ruapehu. She enjoyed making snowballs and playing in the snow with her brother. She told us that she got a little puppy on the way back from the trip, Lucky girl!
